Alice + Olivia's latest Manhattan boutique will open its doors in Meatpacking on Saturday, in the storefront formerly occupied by Stella McCartney. Though McCartney left to pursue more grown-up digs in Soho, designer Stacey Bendet feels that the new shop will compliment the neighborhood's energy nicely. She previously told WWD, "Our brand has so much exposure. We can really make the street come alive again."
For those keeping track, the 14th Street location will be Alice + Olivia's third store in New York City, following stores in Bryant Park and Madison Avenue. Though Meatpacking seems like the perfect choice for another boutique party dresses do have a tendency to sell like hot cakes in a party neighborhood the brand already has their eyes peeled for a fourth store. Our money's on Soho.
ALICE + OLIVIA is the newest arrival in the packed fashion corridor of 14th Street in the meatpacking district. Stacy Bendeta's colorful party dresses, separates and accessories fill the 2,000-square-foot boutique previously occupied by Stella McCartney. It is the third store in Manhattan for the label, which had its debut in New York in 2002 and has become a go-to for young, ladylike evening looks that often take playful risks with peplums, sequins and feathers.
