This pair of antique Victorian era black leather jet beaded high top lace-up boots date from 1890. They are made of black leather, with jet beaded trim on the front toes. The boots have black shoe laces, pointed toes and Louis XV french spool heels. The boots measure 11 1/2 inches tall, 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 3 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot but my guess would be about a size 7 or 8 narrow width. They have been gently worn, with some scuffs, missing beading off the front toes and a repaired mended crack underneath the arch of one heel (see close-ups). These are rare beaded and beautiful quality made boots!
This antique Victorian era brown silk velvet bronze beaded bodice and skirt fabric remnant trim dates from the 1880s. It is made of a brown silk fabric, with dark brown velvet trim and silver steel cut, bronze beading. This beautiful bodice top, has a high neck band collar, front insert, long fitted sleeves with rolled cuffs, a fitted waist, with back bustle tail drape, hook closures down the front and is fully lined with quality construction detailing, stays boning sewn inside. The bodice measures 17 inches long in the front, 21 inches long in the back, with a 24 inch waist, 34 inch bust, 12 inch back and 22 inch long sleeves. There is a matching velvet beaded fabric remnant skirt panel with brown silk chenille fringe tassel trim along the four strips and is lined, backed in a yellow silk fabric. The fabric panel measures 40 inches long and 9 1/2" to 12" wide. It is in good condition and appears to have never been worn or the skirt finished. This is truly a wonderful piece of Victoriana wearable beaded art!
